Camp Fire Alaska | Light the Fire Within

Nicole Richmond

Marketing Coordinator

Nicole joined Camp Fire in 2024 as the Summer Camp Photographer, capturing the magic of camp life one shot at a time. In December 2025, she stepped into the role of Marketing Coordinator, where she blends creativity and storytelling to showcase the joy, adventure, and connection that define the Camp Fire experience.

A lifelong photographer, Nicole loves turning meaningful moments into lasting memories—but what she enjoys most is being part of the energy itself. Hopping between camps, embracing a little silliness, and hearing campers excitedly shout her camp name, “Pixel,” are just a few of the things that make her work so fun and rewarding.

Having grown up in Alaska, Nicole finds inspiration outdoors, especially during the long summer days spent with her husband and their two German shepherds. Outside of work, she enjoys gathering with loved ones over good food, exploring a wide range of crafts, and traveling whenever possible. In all aspects of her work and life, Nicole is guided by kindness, compassion, and a commitment to giving her best effort.

The Camp Fire Alaska main office operates on the ancestral land of the Dena’ina people. Camp Fire Alaska runs programing on the lands of the Athabascan, Yup’ik, Chup’ik, Sougpiaq, and Inupiaq peoples. We value and thank them for their current and historic commitment to and protection of this land. We pledge to assist, in partnership, in the environmental stewardship of these lands. We strive to learn more about the history of the Native peoples of Alaska and the historic trauma they have suffered. We commit to being an active ally through activities, actions, and organizational decisions and practices. We understand that this is a dynamic process through which our Land Acknowledgement practices, and statement will evolve as we receive feedback from tribal partners and acquire a deeper understanding of and from the Native peoples of Alaska..  (v2)
