Absolutely Incredible Kid Day® was founded by Camp Fire in 1997. Every year, millions of people—like you—write a letter or tell a young person in their life what makes them incredible.  YOUR WORDS ARE POWERFUL. We invite you to write a letter of encouragement to a special kid in your life on March 19, 2026.

Rain or shine, Camp K is a beautiful place to spend a day! Join us for our annual Camp K on Kenai Lake Work Day as we prepare camp for this summer's campers. Share a fun day of working together and exploring camp.

Our Wild Women Retreat at Camp K

Save the date! The 11th Annual Wild Women Retreat at Camp K is scheduled for July 25-26, 2026. This fun-filled overnight retreat is a fundraising event to support the ongoing maintenance fund for Camp K, our youth camp on Kenai Lake in Cooper Landing.

The 2026 Champions for Children Breakfast event is scheduled for Thursday, November 5 from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. at the Dena’ina Center.

The Camp Fire Alaska main office operates on the ancestral land of the Dena’ina people. Camp Fire Alaska runs programing on the lands of the Athabascan, Yup’ik, Chup’ik, Sougpiaq, and Inupiaq peoples. We value and thank them for their current and historic commitment to and protection of this land. We pledge to assist, in partnership, in the environmental stewardship of these lands. We strive to learn more about the history of the Native peoples of Alaska and the historic trauma they have suffered. We commit to being an active ally through activities, actions, and organizational decisions and practices. We understand that this is a dynamic process through which our Land Acknowledgement practices, and statement will evolve as we receive feedback from tribal partners and acquire a deeper understanding of and from the Native peoples of Alaska..  (v2)
